The Rising Energy and New Face of an International Event

The welcoming area of the International Istanbul Furniture Fair, organized annually by MOSFED & MOS Fuarcılık, featured a contemporary and dynamic façade designed by demirden | ilio. Shaped by an innovative and sustainable approach, the design reflected the fair’s pioneering identity through a strong architectural language.

Standing 8 meters tall, the segmented entrance façade was developed as a system resistant to harsh weather conditions and responsive to wind loads. Lightweight and flexible textile surfaces moved in harmony with the wind, creating a sense of dynamic yet controlled spatial balance.

The modular metal structural system allowed for rapid on-site assembly and easy disassembly, significantly reducing installation time. Composed of reusable components, the system offered a sustainable solution while enhancing structural and architectural performance.

Beyond its conventional industrial use, the modular construction system was reinterpreted through the integration of suspended elements and textile surfaces. This resulted in a more innovative and contemporary aesthetic. Its reusable components contributed to structural efficiency and reinforced its alignment with sustainable design principles.

This design approach translated the fair’s visual identity into an architectural language through the corporate color palette. Shaped by the interplay of light and movement, it became a physical experience that engaged directly with visitors.

The fair’s corporate identity elements were extended into the interior through graphic installations running along the ceiling of the main hall. Geometric surfaces, derived from the tent structure’s characteristic triangular support system, integrated the architectural form with the graphic language and established a sense of continuity throughout the space.

The continuation of the façade’s visual language into the main entrance hall ensured both visual and conceptual consistency indoors, strengthening the overall impact of the design. This approach created a multi-layered atmosphere that reinforced the experience of being part of a professional, international, and pioneering event for all visitors and stakeholders.

The installation representing the Heartmade digital platform -formed by red and white chairs on a black backdrop that contrasts with the white hall- offered a symbolic expression of both the fair’s global vision for the Turkish furniture industry and its digital B2B trade mission. Positioned as a meeting point, it offered a space for interaction and representation, drawing visitors together.
